In recent decades a house has become a commodity, something to be bought and sold. It’s no longer seen as an investment for succeeding generations of a family because so few original owners remain in their homes for a lifetime, and even fewer expect their heirs to live there. The Cinque Terre residential community is a concept that is intended to change that by recapturing values in residential design and construction that are uncommon in today's housing developments. Homes will define Cinque Terre by reuniting the artist and the craftsman in environmentally conscious and sustainable ways. By virtue of the architectural approach in design, the care and craftsmanship in building the structures, the landscape design for each site on which the homes will be built, and the overall sensitivity and protection of the surrounding environmental amenities, we expect these homes will last for at least the next seven generations. |
